Colin was Chief Investment Manager at one of the largest investment trusts in the UK.
In 2006, he left the investment trust world to set up and manage a Global Kokusai
income portfolio for Scottish Widows in the UK. The funds were sold into the Japanese
retail market. He has written extensively on income strategies and their importance to
long-term wealth creation. Colin joined True Potential Investments as Chief Investment
Officer in February 2014.

chris-leyland-1“Chris Leyland is a seasoned investment professional with over 15 years experience within fund management having looked after all client sizes, from smaller private clients up to large scale pension fund and charities. Chris has previously worked in both fund management and research for Tilney BestInvest and Deutsche Bank where he was responsible for the fund management of approximately £420m. He joined True Potential as Deputy Chief Investment Officer in June 2015.

daniel-harrisonDaniel is one of the founding partners of True Potential LLP and is Managing Partner of True Potential Investments. Throughout his 15 years in the financial services industry, Daniel has had the responsibility for delivering service, operational and technology solutions to both financial advisers and their clients.

mark-hendersonMark began his financial services career in private banking with Lloyds, covering investment management, and executor and trustee work in the north of England and Scotland. He then moved to Merrill Lynch’s International Private Client Division before joining Positive Solutions where he held the position of Director of Wealth Management. Mark is one of the founding partners of True Potential LLP.


Michael is a Senior Client Portfolio Manager with the Quantitative Investment Strategies team. Michael focuses quantitative equity strategies and alternative risk premia solutions for institutions, third party distributors and private wealth management in EMEA.  He joined Goldman Sachs in 2007 in US Third Party Distribution working with Quantitative Strategies, Fundamental Equity, Fixed Income, and Alternatives.  Previously he worked with T. Rowe Price focusing on Large Market Retirement and Individual Advisory Investing.  In 1998 he obtained a BA Honours from University of Chicago in East Asian Languages in Civilizations and MBA from University of Maryland, College Park in 2005.


Richard Lloyd is Global Head of Structured Solutions, part of the Global Investment Solutions team. Richard is responsible for the design, delivery and execution of a full range of structured and risk managed investment solutions for institutional, DC and wholesale clients globally.

Richard joined UBS Asset Management in November 2010 from Insight Investment Management where he had been head of structured solutions since 2008, developing derivative solutions for institutional clients and structured products and solutions for retail clients.

Prior to joining Insight, Richard was head of structured investments at Schroder Investment Management for four years. He began his career at Schroder in 1996 as a fund manager’s assistant and was then an investment analyst before specialising in structured investments from 1999 onwards.Richard is an Associate Member of the CFA Society of the UK

mrAs a senior member of the Global Multi-Asset team that consists of over 70 investment professionals around the world, David Hollis has primary responsibility for the management of the UK domiciled multi-asset portfolios.

Additionally, as part of the Global Economics & Strategy Group, he provides investment research to the entire global investment platform with a focus on emerging markets and UK economic analysis. He has been with the company since 1998, having originally been selected to join the Graduate Training Scheme at the investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort Benson.

After transferring to asset management in 2000, he has amassed a breadth of experience that has included portfolio management of corporate bond funds, UK fixed income securities, multi-currency sovereign bond portfolios and UK and global multi-asset funds. David graduated from the London School of Economics with a First Class BSc (Hons) in Economics.


Marcus Brookes heads the Multi-Manager team at Schroders having joined from Cazenove Capital Management in July 2013. He has previously worked at Gartmore Investment Management and Rothschild Asset Management. He graduated from the University of Sterling with an MSc. in Investment Analysis. He brings over 20 years’ investment experience to the team.


Richard Colwell joined the company in 2010 as a portfolio manager in the UK Equities team. He manages the Threadneedle UK Growth & Income Fund, Threadneedle UK Equity Income Fund and the Threadneedle UK Equity Alpha Income Fund. He also co-manages the Threadneedle Monthly Extra Income Fund. He has research responsibility across all sectors.

Before joining the company, Richard ran high alpha UK equity portfolios at Aviva Investors. He has also held portfolio management roles at Credit Suisse and Schroders and worked at the Bank of England.

Richard has a degree in Banking, Insurance & Finance from the University of Bangor. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of the UK as well as the Chartered Institute of Bankers


Riitta Hujanen joined Close Brothers Asset Management as Investment Director in July 2012, and was appointed manager of the Close Discretionary Portfolio Balanced Fund 1 April 2013 and of the Growth and Conservative Funds on 24 April 2013. Before joining CBAM, Riitta held fund management positions at Schroder’s Investment Management and Montanaro Fund Managers in London. Previously, she was Head of European equities at OKO Asset Management in Finland and worked at SEB Gyllenberg where she established Finland’s first multi-asset SRI mutual fund. Riitta holds an MSc. (Pol.) from the University of Helsinki and an MBA in International Finance from the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration

jason-collinsJason Collins serves as the head of the UK Investment Management Unit and Portfolio Manager with the UK Equity team. Prior to his employment with SEI, he was a Founding Partner of Maia Capital Partners, a specialist multi-manager investment firm providing multi-asset unit trusts to UK retail investors. Jason participated in all aspects of portfolio management for the firm, including manager research and fund selection across all asset classes, asset allocation, portfolio construction and implementation.

Prior to founding Maia Capital, Jason was a Portfolio Manager at Fidelity International where he was responsible for a range of multi-manager funds and played a key role in the development of the investment process. Before joining Fidelity, he spent over nine years at Skandia as Head of Investment Research, where he was responsible for the manager research, selection and monitoring process and was a key member of the Group Investment Committee.

chris-darbyshireChris joined the Investment Team in 2012 as Senior Quantitative Portfolio Manager, having spent 8 years working in derivatives, primarily at Goldman Sachs. His career includes 7 years spent with BNP Paribas, where he headed an equity research sector team, as well as 7 years spent in the media industry as the US-based finance director of a division of Viacom. Chris is a graduate of Oxford University.

for over 15 years. He has worked in corporate finance roles with a major accountancy practice and latterly as Development Director of Aegon.

Raoul started his career at Goldman Sachs in 2004 as a financial analyst in their Wealth Management division. By 2014, he had been promoted to Executive Director, co-running the
largest team in EMEA, and was personally responsible for over £1.5 billion of client assets.

Russel Hogan

Russell Hogan

During his 30 years of investment experience, Russell spent 17 years at Aegon Asset Management becoming Chief Investment Officer in 1995 and there after CEO with responsibility for £33 billion. He joined Dundas Global as Director at inception, becoming a full-time member of the team in April 2012.

David Keir

David Keir

David joined Saracen Fund Managers from SWIP, where he was Investment Director on the UK Equities Desk, running both Institutional and Retail funds. He was also Head of Research. Before SWIP, David spent four years on the UK Equities Desk at Edinburgh Fund Managers.
