Colin was Chief Investment Manager at one of the largest investment trusts in the UK.
In 2006, he left the investment trust world to set up and manage a Global Kokusai
income portfolio for Scottish Widows in the UK. The funds were sold into the Japanese
retail market. He has written extensively on income strategies and their importance to
long-term wealth creation. Colin joined True Potential Investments as Chief Investment
Officer in February 2014. Colin stepped down as CIO and took on the role of Executive Chairman of the True Potential Investments Investment Committee on 1st February 2018.

Barney joined the Investment Department of True Potential in 2016. In a career spanning over thirty years he has managed investments for private clients, trusts and charities. He has gained experience in a diverse range of investments working both for smaller stockbroking houses Laing and Cruickshank and Brewin Dolphin as well as the wealth management divisions of multinational investment banks Merrill Lynch and UBS.

chris-leyland-1Chris is a seasoned investment professional with over 15 years experience within fund management having looked after all client sizes, from smaller private clients up to large scale pension fund and charities. Chris has previously worked in both fund management and research for Tilney BestInvest and Deutsche Bank where he was responsible for the fund management of approximately £420m. He joined True Potential as Deputy Chief Investment Officer in June 2015, and became Investment Director in February 2018.

daniel-harrisonDaniel is one of the founding partners of True Potential LLP and is Managing Partner of True Potential Investments. Throughout his 15 years in the financial services industry, Daniel has had the responsibility for delivering service, operational and technology solutions to both financial advisers and their clients.

mark-hendersonMark began his financial services career in private banking with Lloyds, covering investment management, and executor and trustee work in the north of England and Scotland. He then moved to Merrill Lynch’s International Private Client Division before joining Positive Solutions where he held the position of Director of Wealth Management. Mark is one of the founding partners of True Potential LLP.

David is a vice president in the Global Portfolio Solutions (GPS) Group, based in London, where he assists with portfolio solutions for institutional and third party distribution clients. David Joined Goldman Sachs in 2008 in the Operations Division, supporting the Private Wealth Management Business. He then moved to a role in the Portfolio Control and Analysis team, working alongside the Institutional Business. In 2010 David moved to a role working in the UK Institutional Sales team where he was responsible for new business and managing existing relationships with UK and Irish corporate pension schemes. David graduated from Loughborough University with a BA in international business, having spent his penultimate year working for the Goldman Sachs Private Bank AG in Zurich, Switzerland.


Richard is Global Head of Structured Solutions, part of the Global Investment Solutions team. Richard is responsible for the design, delivery and execution of a full range of structured and risk managed investment solutions for institutional, DC and wholesale clients globally.

Richard joined UBS Asset Management in November 2010 from Insight Investment Management where he had been head of structured solutions since 2008, developing derivative solutions for institutional clients and structured products and solutions for retail clients.

Prior to joining Insight, Richard was head of structured investments at Schroder Investment Management for four years. He began his career at Schroder in 1996 as a fund manager’s assistant and was then an investment analyst before specialising in structured investments from 1999 onwards. Richard is an Associate Member of the CFA Society of the UK.

Cordula is a Senior Portfolio Manager in the Multi Asset-Active Allocation team in Frankfurt. She manages multi asset funds and heads up the FX team. She also manages the currency overlay strategy for selected portfolios in Asia. Cordula joined the firm in 1997 as an analyst for currencies and became a portfolio manager for currency portfolios, currency overlay mandates and emerging markets debt local currencies. In 2008 she started managing balanced portfolios. Cordula graduated with a university degree in Economics (“Diplom-Volkswirtin”) from the university of Gottingen.


Marcus heads the Multi-Manager team at Schroders having joined from Cazenove Capital Management in July 2013. He has previously worked at Gartmore Investment Management and Rothschild Asset Management. He graduated from the University of Sterling with an MSc. in Investment Analysis. He brings over 20 years’ investment experience to the team.


Richard  joined the company in 2010 as a portfolio manager in the UK Equities team. He manages the Threadneedle UK Growth & Income Fund, Threadneedle UK Equity Income Fund and the Threadneedle UK Equity Alpha Income Fund. He also co-manages the Threadneedle Monthly Extra Income Fund. He has research responsibility across all sectors.

Before joining the company, Richard ran high alpha UK equity portfolios at Aviva Investors. He has also held portfolio management roles at Credit Suisse and Schroders and worked at the Bank of England.

Richard has a degree in Banking, Insurance & Finance from the University of Bangor. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of the UK as well as the Chartered Institute of Bankers


Riitta joined Close Brothers Asset Management as Investment Director in July 2012, and was appointed manager of the Close Discretionary Portfolio Balanced Fund, the Growth and Conservative Funds in April 2013. Before joining CBAM, Riitta held fund management positions at Schroder’s Investment Management and Montanaro Fund Managers in London. Previously, she was Head of European equities at OKO Asset Management in Finland and worked at SEB Gyllenberg where she established Finland’s first multi-asset SRI mutual fund. Riitta holds an MSc. (Pol.) from the University of Helsinki and an MBA in International Finance from the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration.

jason-collinsJason serves as the head of the UK Investment Management Unit and Portfolio Manager with the UK Equity team. Prior to his employment with SEI, he was a Founding Partner of Maia Capital Partners, a specialist multi-manager investment firm providing multi-asset unit trusts to UK retail investors. Jason participated in all aspects of portfolio management for the firm, including manager research and fund selection across all asset classes, asset allocation, portfolio construction and implementation.

Prior to founding Maia Capital, Jason was a Portfolio Manager at Fidelity International where he was responsible for a range of multi-manager funds and played a key role in the development of the investment process. Before joining Fidelity, he spent over nine years at Skandia as Head of Investment Research, where he was responsible for the manager research, selection and monitoring process and was a key member of the Group Investment Committee.

Ian is an Oxford graduate with a degree in Physics. He is also a CFA Charter holder and spent the first fifteen years of his career at Goldman Sachs, where he specialised in equity derivatives, in particular risk management and portfolio hedging strategies. He brought that expertise to 7IM when he joined in May 2016 from Citigroup where he was responsible for identifying strategic investment solutions for UK pension funds.

Initially a Senior Investment Manager focusing on derivatives and alternatives within the multi-asset portfolios and co-managing the 7IM Real Return Fund, Ian became Chief Investment Officer in November 2017.

The Committee has been sourced from a wide range of backgrounds, including investment management, advisory practice and client advocates. This diversification of experience helps them make robust decisions that put investors first.

for over 15 years. He has worked in corporate finance roles with a major accountancy practice and latterly as Development Director of Aegon.

Raoul started his career at Goldman Sachs in 2004 as a financial analyst in their Wealth Management division. By 2014, he had been promoted to Executive Director, co-running the
largest team in EMEA, and was personally responsible for over £1.5 billion of client assets.

Russel Hogan

During his 30 years of investment experience, Russell spent 17 years at Aegon Asset Management becoming Chief Investment Officer in 1995 and there after CEO with responsibility for £33 billion. He joined Dundas Global as Director at inception, becoming a full-time member of the team in April 2012.

David Keir

David Keir

David joined Saracen Fund Managers from SWIP, where he was Investment Director on the UK Equities Desk, running both Institutional and Retail funds. He was also Head of Research. Before SWIP, David spent four years on the UK Equities Desk at Edinburgh Fund Managers.
